Wilma Schrage

Wilma was born February 8, 1917 in Stanton County to Anton and Anna (Kucera) Krejci and attended District 45 south of Pilger. On August 26, 1942 she married Henry Schrage at St. John’s Catholic Church in Howells. They lived in Pilger and Howells for a short time and in 1945 they moved to the Frank Schrage farm where they lived until 1979 when they moved to Howells. Wilma was a member of Christian Mother’s, American Legion Auxiliary, Howells Woman’s Club, several card clubs and a birthday club. She enjoyed playing cards, watching baseball, baking, cooking and gardening. Wilma died December 22nd, at the age of 95, at Golden Living Center in Clarkson where she had been a resident for the past six years. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Carol Bayer of Clarkson; her son, Ron (Sue) Schrage of Dodge; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry (July 17, 1985); infant son, David; sister, Emma Broekemeier; son-in-law, Roland Bayer (May 15, 2006). Family suggest memorials to Howells Community Catholic Schools or Family Choice. Funeral lunch will be served at St. John's School.
