Wilma Hake, 83, of Columbus passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Columbus Hospital.

Wilma was born October 24, 1934 to Bohumil and Christina (Benes) Cech on the family farm outside of Clarkson. She graduated in 1953 from Clarkson High School. Wilma married Bohumil Bohaboj on November 15, 1955 at S.S. Cyril Methodius Catholic church in Clarkson. Wilma and Bohumil farmed and lived near Dodge, Nebraska, until Bohumil was killed in an automobile accident in 1995. She then married Weldon Hake on October 13, 1996 in Palmer, Nebraska.
Wilma loved being a farm wife and could always be found outside helping with the livestock or daily chores. She especially loved caring for her chickens, caring for the dairy cows and cutting hay in the summer months. When she wasn’t working outside Wilma could be found in the kitchen cooking or baking something delicious. In her later years Wilma took great pride in seeing her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her Son: David (Shirley) Bohaboj of Columbus; Daughters: Agnes Bohaboj of Sioux City, Barbara (Roger) Stark of Schuyler, JoAnn Flores of Fort Pierce, FL, Janet (Brian) Kaup of Carthage, MO; Brothers: Frank (Bonnie) Cech, Lumir (Mary) Cech, and Ernie (Linda) Cech all of Clarkson; Sisters: Laverna Sharka of Schuyler, Hellen Krupka of Howells, and Olga Paulick of Lincoln, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Bohumil in 1995 and second husband Weldon Hake in 2011 and two granddaughters.
