William "Bill" Krenk, 81, of Linwood, NE passed away peacefully June 11, 2012 at the Golden Living Center, Schuyler with special friends Theresa Vyhlidal, Albert & Beverly Bartek, and the Ascera Hospice Care nurses at his side. Bill was born on the family farm on December 4, 1930. He loved to farm and raise purebred registered Black Angus cattle as long as he was able. Bill loved to dance and follow the Frank Kucera band as long as he could. He also loved Czech music, Czech festivals and Czech cuisine, which he became very good at cooking. He played drums with several button accordian players as they entertained senior citizens at nursing homes in the surrounding communities. Bill was a Korean War veteran and a member of Brainard American Legion Post #273. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Abie, NE and a past member of Black Angus Cattle Association. Bill is survived by his very special friend Theresa, 1 nephew, 2 nieces and a host of friends, nurses and caregivers who loved to care for him at the care center. The burial will take place after the funeral ceremony at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Abie, NE. Brainard American Legion Post #273 will perform graveside Military Honors. Lunch will be served after the burial at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested for memorials to go to S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Abie, Nebraska.
