Wilfred Wiese, 84, of Howells passed away, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home.

Wilfred Wiese was born on November 5, 1933 in Howells to Ben and Eleanore (Knust) Wiese . He attended country school through the 8th grade and then started farming with his Dad, Ben. After serving 2 years in the Army, he married Marjorie Kabes Ridder on August 16, 1956. In May of 1957 they moved to their farm northwest of Howells. He and Marjorie had 4 children.
Wilfred enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, restoring tractors and antique tractor rides, going to auctions, and also competing in the Nebraska State Hand Cornhusking Contest. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul choir, American Legion Post 155, and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Marjorie; daughters Lynne (Mark) Ondracek; Theresa (Clarence) Ernesti; and son Loren (Michelle) Wiese; and daughter in law Norma Wiese; brothers Monsignor Melvern Wiese, and Maynard (Janet) Wiese; and sister Dianne (Dennis) Nadrchal. 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Wilfred is preceded in death by his parents and son Robert Wiese.
