Wanda L. Walters

Wanda was born July 27, 1915 in Norton, KS to Joseph Ray and Eva Lunetta (Shults) Warren. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1935. Wanda married Harrison Everett Walters in McCook on June 23, 1940. They made their home in Schuyler since 1955 where they owned and operated the Valley Court Motel until 1962. Wanda also worked at BD in Columbus. She enjoyed attending the BD retiree functions and she loved to travel. Wanda died October 3, 2010, at the age of 95, at Golden Living Center in Schuyler where she had been a resident for the past two weeks. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Susan (Joel) Engel of Schuyler; four grandchildren, Patrick Ma'ae (Wendy) of Whitehouse, TX, Daria Lynn (Michael) Springer of Lincoln, Joel Jay Engel of Seattle, Kyle Jacob "Jake" (Nicky) Engel of Linwood; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Fern (Griff) Reiners of McCook;son-in-law, Vesi Ma'ae of Honolulu; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her; daughter, Cheryl Ma'ae (2008); one sister, Bernice Brown. Funeral lunch will be served at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
