Vivienne L Nielson was born on January 27, 1931 in Rural Sarpy County, Nebraska to Victor and Charlotte (Tomlinson) Bird. She graduated from South High School in Omaha. On March 28, 1957 Vivienne married Robert “Bull” Nielson. They began their marriage in Dodge through 1981 before moving to Schuyler until Robert’s passing in 1998. After his passing Vivienne moved to York for several years and eventually moved to Omaha to be closer to family.

Vivienne enjoyed spending time with her family, and cherished her visits from her daughters and grandchildren. To keep herself occupied, Vivienne enjoyed going on bus excursions with the senior center, and always looked forward to their short trips. Vivienne was also never one to turn down a game of cards to catch up with friends and family. When she wasn’t on the go, you could find her at home crocheting some of the most beautiful Afghan blankets to use in her home and to give away. Vivienne was also a proud member of the Eastern Star organization and had received her 50-year membership pin.

She is survived by her daughters Charlotte (Rodney) Teter of Las Vegas, Nevada and Carmen Vaughan of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren: Melissa (Lowell) Fanning of Omaha and their son Connor, Ryan (Kerri) Teter of Omaha and their children Chloe and Brecken; and Casey (Nichole) Teter of Las Vegas and their children Caden and Rylie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, two brothers Victor “Bud” Bird, and Gene Bird as well as her sister Charlotte “Pat” Bird.
