Thomas W. Richards, 91, of Rising City, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at David Place in David City.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00am in the United Methodist Church of Rising City with Pastor Glenn Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Circle Mound Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, from 4-7pm at Chermok Funeral Home and on Saturday, from 9-10am at the church.

Thomas W. Richards, Sr was born on October 12, 1919 to J.H. Ross Richards and Maude Webster Richards. He attended Dist #40 country grade school and graduated from Osceola High School in 1937.
He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps for a total of 18 months, from 1938 until 1940. Tom served in the U.S. Navy in 1945 & 1946.
He married Eloine Marker on April 27, 1940 at Columbus, NE. They were married for 65 years.
Tom is survived by three sons: Terry Sr(Bernie)of Warsaw, Mo; Tom Jr(Rose) of Rising City and Rick and partner Steve Jackson of Omaha. 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. one brother: Dave of Osceola and one sister Natalie of Texas. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eloine in July of 2005, two brothers and two sisters.
