Sylvester J. Trouba, 86, of Dwight, widower of Frances, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Sylvester Trouba was born on August 18, 1929 at David City, Nebraska to Charles and Emilie(Trousil)Trouba. After his high school years, he joined the Army and was honorably discharged. He married Frances C.Husak on May 23, 1955 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Bruno. Two children were born to this union.
Farming was Sylvesters' life. He and Frances moved to town in 1977, but Sylvester went out to the farm every day to help his son Jim with daily tasks. His other love was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them and telling them farm stories.
Sylvester was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight and the Dwight American Legion Post 110.
Suvivors include his son, Jim(Linda)Trouba and daughter, Barb Divis both of Dwight. 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances in 2013, son-in-law: Ben Divis, two brothers: Charles and Bernard Trouba and one infant sister.
