Susana Carcamo

Susana Carcamo, de 60 años de Schuyler, falleció el lunes 17 de marzo de 2025 en su casa en Schuyler rodeada de su familia.

La misa del entierro cristiano será el sábado 22 de marzo a las 10.00am en la Iglesia Católica San Agustín en Schuyler. El entierro será en el Cementerio Católico Holy Cross en los afuera de Schuyler. Svoboda Moravec Johnson Mortuary está manejando los arreglos para la familia de Susana.

Susana nació el 11 de agosto de 1964 en Guatemala, de Pedro Alvarez y Maríana Reyes. Se casó con Julio R. Carcamo el 19 de julio de 1980 y tienen cuatro hijos juntos. A Susana le gusta viajar y encontrar nuevas aventuras y le encantaba estar involucrada en su comunidad cristiana, ayudando con muchos eventos diferentes, siempre ofreciéndose como voluntaria. Ella estaba muy dedicada a la iglesia, ayudo en muchas capacidades desde coordinar monaguillos, lectora, ministra extraordinaria de la Eucaristía y ser miembro de JAPC y ayudar en su ministerio de evangelización. Cocinar era la actividad favorita de Susana, y lo usó para acercar a su familia.

Disfrutaba cocinar muchas comidas diferentes y en especial era conocida por su familia y amigos por muchas de sus recetas. La familia era el centro de la vida de Susana, y su casa siempre fue el lugar de reunión para que todos se reunieran, compartiendo una gran comida, por supuesto. Le encantaba ir de camping e ir a pescar, yle gustaba escuchar a su  esposo Julio cantár. 

A quien sobreviven; su esposo Julio R. Carcamo hijos Edna N. (Michael) Daviu, Julio R. (Yenika) Carcamo Jr., Evelyn A. (Alexander Pereira) Carcamo, Jorge L. (Evelyn Ortiz) Carcamo, y bonus hija Rosalba Bernal e hijos; 7 nietos con uno en el camino; hermanos Manuel E. Alvarez Reyes, Aurelina Alvarez Reyes, y Silvia M. Alvarez Reyes.

Susana está precedida en la muerte por sus padres, hermanos Alberto Alvarez Reyes, Emilio B. Alvarez Reyes y Julio Alvarez Reyes.

Susana Carcamo, 60, of Schuyler, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at her home in Schuyler surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Schuyler. Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Svoboda Moravec Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements for Susana's family.

Susana was born on August 11, 1964 in Guatemala, to Pedro Alvarez and Mariana Reyes. On July 19, 1980 she married Julio R. Carcamo and they have four children together.

Susana was constantly on the go- traveling, finding new adventures, and she loved being involved in her community, helping with many different events by volunteering or offering to cook. She was very devoted to the church, helping in many capacities from coordinating altar servers, being a member of JAPC and helping in their ministry.

Cooking was Susanna's favorite activity, and she used it to bring her family close together. She enjoyed cooking many different things and was known by family and friends for many of her recipes. Family was the center of Susanna's life, and her house was always the gathering spot for everyone to get together, sharing a big meal of course. She loved going on camping trips and going fishing, and could occasionally be found listening to her husband Julio sing to her as he worked around the house.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Julio R. Carcamo; children Edna N. (Michael) Daviu, Julio R. (Yenika) Carcamo Jr., Evelyn A. (Alexander Pereira) Carcamo, Jorge L. (Evelyn Ortiz) Carcamo, and bonus daughter Rosalb Bernal and her children; 7 grandchildren with one on the way; siblings Manuel E. Alvarez Reyes, Aurelina Alvarez Reyes, and Silvia M. Alvarez Reyes.

Susana is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Alberto Alvarez Reyes, Emilio B. Alvarez Reyes, and Julio Alvarez Reyes.
