Susan White

Susan A.White, 44, of Waterloo, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at her home.after a valiant battle with cancer.  Funeral Services: Saturday, December 18, 201010:00amZion Lutheran Church14205 Ida StreetOmaha, NebraskaBurial: Saturday, 2:00pm Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Rising CityViewing will be on Friday with family greeting friends from 5-7pm at Chermok Funeral Home in David City.  Additional viewing will be one hour before services at the church in Omaha. White was born on November 30, 1966 to Glenn and Janice(Reetz)White in David City.  She attended Rising City Schools and graduated in 1985, then went on to graduate from UNL with a Bachelor Degree in Journalism.  She was currently working at the Omaha World Herald as a Feature's Writer and Editor.  Susan was a past member of the Jaycee's in Columbus and Fremont, a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Omaha and sang in the church choir.  She was very active in the Relay for Life Walks and Rallys.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, sewing and playing the piano.  She is survived by her mother: Janice White of Seward; brother: Doug(Diane)White of Ulysses; sister: Nancy(Mike)Hula of Raymond; nieces and nephews: Daniel and Debbie White and Travis, Hailey, and Ellie Hula.  Susan was preceded in death by her father, Glenn in 2006; niece Danielle White; grandparents: Werner and Viola Reetz, Burt and Una White and step-grandmother: Florence White.
