Steven J. Wendt, 66, of David City died Wednesday, March 28,2018 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Steve's wish was to be cremated and have a private family burial.

Steven was born April 13, 1951, to Mary Lou (Soukup) and Vernon Wendt in Lynch, Nebraska. He attended Spencer High School and graduated in 1969. He was a smart and savvy businessman and ran Steve’s Tool Service, his Snap-On Tool business, for 37 years. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and ability to sell to just about anyone.
Steven is survived by his wife Yvonne, children Todd (Alycia) Wendt of Omaha, Mark (Judi) Wendt of Omaha, Valerie (Brad) Vandenberg of David City, Amber Wendt of Omaha, Danielle (Kevin) Quintanar of Knoxville Tennessee, Tiffany (Jen) Pence of Spokane Washington, 11 Grandchildren: Ryan Wendt, Zach Wendt, Jake Wendt, Beau Wendt, Kroy Vandenberg, Hensley Vandenberg, Soon to be born Baby Boy Vandenberg, Amidee Quintanar, Naomi Quintanar, Kegan Pence, Erin Pence, Brother Wayne (Diana) Wendt of Bristow, Diane (Tom) Ellis of Friend, Marcia (James) Mally of Norfolk, Greg Wendt of Friend, father and mother in law Don and Delores Kucera, brother in law Gordon (Lisa) Kucera of Lee’s Summit Missouri, brother in law Nathan (Barb) of Lincoln many nieces and nephews, great customers and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Lou and Vernon Wendt, brother Michael Wendt, sister Karen Wendt, and late-wife Rhonda Wendt.
