Sizalda M. Haynes, 54, of Ulysses, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at David Place in David City.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, Ocober 13, 2012 at 11:00am at Chermok Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Portugal.

Sizalda was born on May 10, 1958 to Joao and Maria Jesus(Leal)Costa at Sao Caetano, Pico Azores, Portugual. She was raised in Portugal and Brazil. She married Paul Haynes on August 18, 1974 at St. Peters by the Sea Lutheran Church in San Diego, CA. Three children were born to this union.
The couple moved to the Ulysses area in February of 1991, coming from San Francisco. Sizalda was a homemaker and volunteer, being involved in many projects and activities throughout her lifetime.
Surviving is her husband of 38yrs, Paul, children: Billy Joe(Robin)Haynes of Columbus, Lizette(Terry)Shatto of David City, 8 grandchildren, her mother: Maria Jesus Costa of Portugal; one brother: Deodato Costa and a twin sister: Lisete Camilo.
Sizalda was preceded in death by her father, one son: Aaron Haynes and one granddaugher: Candice Shatto.
