Shirley B. Snyder, 80, of David City, formerly of Rising City, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Butler County Health Care Center.
Services are 10:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Rising City, NE.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday July 25 at Chermok Funeral Home in David City.
Shirley was born September 17, 1927 in Ulysses to William Franklin and Jessie Gladys (Williams) Payne. She graduated from Ulysses High School in 1945. On October 25, 1947 she married Maurice J. Snyder at the Ulysses United Methodist Church.
Shirley was a member of the Rising City United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women and the American Legion Auxillary.
Survivors include son: Jay (Karen) Snyder of Lincoln; daughter: Susan Ortiz of Lincoln; sister: Crystal Linton of Rockland, CA; and 3 grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice in 1982 and her brother Victor Payne.
Memorials may be made In Care of the Family.
