Rose E. Moravec, widow of Emmanuel, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at David Place in David City.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 10:00am in St. Mary's Church, David City with Msgr. Adrian Herbek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Viewing will be from 5-6:30pm followed by a PCCW Rosary at 6:30pm at Chermok Funeral Home.
Rose E. Moravec was born on Aug. 24, 1918 to William and Emma(Pernicek) Rerucha on the farm near David City. She graduated from Octavia High School and went on to receive her teaching certificate from Peru State College. She was an elementary teacher at East Butler until retiring in 1981. She married Emmanuel Moravec on Aug. 31, 1946 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Belleville, KS. He passed away in 1986.
Rose enjoyed Czech music, traveling, collecting stamps, loved the children she taught. She also liked to bake.
Rose is survived by her brothers: Elmer(Elaine) Rerucha of Laramie, WY; Ivan(Georgia) Rerucha of Omaha; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emmanuel, one infant brother: Wilfred Rerucha; one brother and sister-in-law: Ervin and Maybelle Rerucha; one sister and brother-in-law: Marie and Jim Bohaty.
