Roger L. Schultz, 53, of Columbus, died Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Nebraska Medicine Cancer Center in Omaha.
Per Roger's wishes, there will be no viewing and cremation has taken place. There will a private family burial of ashes at a later time.

Roger Lee Schultz was born on June 12, 1966 at Seward, Nebraska to Roger & Hanziena(Haase)Schultz.
Roger loved fishing and camping with his children in Surprise. This was his favorite place to enjoy his free time. He also enjoyed making runza's and sharing them with everyone. He was always making sure that everyone was taken care of in some way. He worked at Duolift Manufacturing in Columbus for many years as a welder.
Roger is survived by his mother: Hanziena Svoboda of Surprise, his significant other, Brenda Melliger, children: Darlene(Quillan)Cannon of Omaha, Ashley(Anthony)Petersen of Fremont, Amber Schultz of Wahoo and Roger Schultz Jr. of Columbus. Two sisters: Donna (Scott) Leifert of Surprise and Sheila (Jim) Klement of Ulysses, two brothers: Dwaine Svoboda of David City and Todd Svoboda of Surprise. 5 Grandchildren: Carter & Malachi Cannon, Sophia Petersen, Alexa & Alayna Heinke, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Schultz, step-father: Larry Svoboda and infant brother, Larry Svoboda Jr.
