Rodney G. Hoeppner, 72, of Bellwood, passed away May 7, 2015 at david place, in David City.

Rodney was born February22, 1943, the youngest of 14 children, to Louis H. and Mary(Riemer) Hoeppner, in Osmond, Nebraska. He graduated from Osmond High School in 1960, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in July of 1960, where he served for 3 years. Rodney was united in marriage to Linda Dierksen on November 17, 1972.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his life. Rodney also worked on road construction, and in open pit uranium and coal mines in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Arizona. He and Linda enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping together. Rodney was a member of the American Legion Post #327, in Bellwood.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer (Patrick) Osantowski, of Genoa, and Rodney (Kelly) Hoeppner, of Bellwood; 6 grandchildren: Nick, Angel, Johanna, and Jesse Osantowski, Emilia, and Jackson Hoeppner; and 1 great-granddaughter: Blair Osantowski; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Linda, in 2012; and his brothers and sisters.
