Richard Spale, 88, formerly of Schuyler passed away Thursday, August 9, at Columbus Care and Rehab Center in Columbus.

Richard Adolph Spale was born on April 24, 1930 in Schuyler to Adolph and Marie (Parolek) Spale. He graduated from Schuyler High School in 1948 and married Dorothy Buresh at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Schuyler on May 26, 1955.

Farming was his life, but in his “free-time” he could found napping or listening to his favorite polka music.
He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Dorothy of Columbus; one son Randal (Martha) Spale of Lenexa, KS; four daughters: Janine (Guy) Pelsor of Lincoln, Denise (Michael) Szatko of Lincoln, Valerie Spale of Lincoln, Michele (Steve) Buroker of Bennington; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, son James Spale in 2011, and sister Rita Sindelar.
