Richard Jelinek, 72, of Brainard passed away on November 10, 2013 at his home.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 10:30am at Loma Shrine with Father Matthew Eickhoff officiating. Visitation will be at Loma Shrine Wednesday from 6-7:30pm with a 7:30pm Rosary service. Burial will be in Loma St. Luke's Cemetery. Memorials In Care of the Family.
A lunch will follow the burial at the Klein Center in Brainard.
Richard was born April 27, 1941 to Anton and Alma (Hobza) Jelinek at his parents home in Butler County. He attended Holy Trinity School and graduated from Brainard High School. Richard farmed in Butler County and in 1963 was drafted to the Army. He worked at Ulysses Coop until retirement.
He married Donna Bohac on November 5, 1966 at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy. Five children were born to this union.
Richard is survived by his wife: Donna; Children: Brenda (Brian) Sensibaugh of Ceresco, Craig (Amy) Jelinek of Brainard, Eric (Amy) Jelinek of Abie, Amy (Ryan) Ruether of Staplehurst, and son-in-law Jeff Dvorak; Brothers: Tom (Joyce) Jelinek, Bernard (Clara) Jelinek, Jim (Bernie) Jelinek, and Lumir (Janice) Jelinek; 14 grandchildren: Breanna, Brooklynn, Brenden, Cody, Colby, Dustin, Devon, Jared, Julia, Justin, Madisen, Allisen, Jacksen, and Masen; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter: Dawn Dvorak.
