Reinold Rhode

Reinold was born August 31, 1932 in Dodge to Joseph and Theresa (Knust) Rhode. He attended elementary school at Olean and graduated from Howells High School in 1950. He served in the Navy from 1950 to 1954 and then returned to Howells where he was employed at Farmers Union Co-Op for 35 years until he retired in 2000. He and Leola Howser were married December 29, 1962 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Olean and made their home in Howells. Reinold is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, going for rides around the countryside and spending time with his family and friends. Reinold died February 10th at, the age of 78, at Parkview Home in Dodge where he had been a resident for the past seven weeks. Reinold is survived by his wife, Leola of Howells; four children and three grandchildren, Tammy (Steve) Gorges of Kansas City, Terri (Wes) Heerboth and Kennedy and Courtney of Atlanta, Jeff (Tina) Rhode and Peyton of Lincoln, Jean (Ralph) Pane of Omaha; brother, Jermaine (Alice) Rhode of Columbus; sister, Alda (Cy) Grosserhode of Dodge; mother-in-law, Mildred Howser of Lincoln. He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Howard Howser. Family suggest memorials to Family Choice. Funeral lunch will be served at St. John's School.
