Quentin A. Vraspir, 82, of David City, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at David Place in David City. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. Visitation will be Tuesday June 29 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Chermok Funeral Home and after 6:00 pm at St. Mary's Church, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday at 9:00 am until service time. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Quentin was born in Bruno, on December 5, 1927 to Adolph E. and Emma (Otoupal) Vraspir. He served in the U.S. Army from November 14, 1950 until August 13, 1952. He maried Marilyn Demuth and was employed as a lineman for R.E.A. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the David City VFW Post 5814.
Quentin is survived by a sister, Darlene (Richard) Speth, of Bellevue, nieces and nephews: Doug (T.J.) Speth of Omaha, Roger (Char) Speth of Vergennes, IL, Karen (Todd) Horton of Omaha, and Steve (Shae) Speth of Canyon City, OR; and 6 grand nieces and nephews.
He was preeded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn and sister Lorraine Sima.
Memorials may be given to the David City Volunteer Fire Department or Families Choice.
