Paul J. Beringer, 88, of Bellwood, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Paul Beringer was born December 30, 1925 to Peter and Anna(Janicek) Beringer on the farm near Bellwood. He graduated from Bellwood High School. From April 6, 1953 to April 5, 1955 Paul served in the Army during the Korean War.
He farmed all of his life, and served on church boards. Paul was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the American Legion in Bellwood. He enjoyed visiting and being around people.
Paul is survived by brothers: Dave (Carol) Beringer, of Omaha, and Keith (Diane) Beringer,of Bellwood; sister: JoAnn (Walter) Hermandorfer, of O'Fallon, MO; sisters-in-law: Jimmie Beringer, of Ft. Worth, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Carroll Beringer.
Memorials: St. Peter's Church or Aquinas Catholic Schools.
