Patricia Ann Kitt, 84, of Schuyler, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 in Columbus. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9th at Christ United Methodist Church in Schuyler. Visitation will follow from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be on Thursday, February 11th at 1:00 P.M. MST in the Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta, Nebraska.
Pat was born March 30, 1931 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Aaron and Fae Thompson. After graduating from Neola, IA high school where she rode her horse 8 miles each day, Pat moved to Wauneta, NE in her late teens where she met and married the love of her life Neil Kitt on August 27, 1950. Living on the farm and raising her family was the best time of her life she often said. She enjoyed the country life and often reminisced about the horses she enjoyed so much.
Pat loved her time outdoors maintaining a large and beautiful backyard that was graced with many trees, shrubs, flowers and her garden.
She was happiest when surrounded by her family and is survived by two sons: Terry (Laverta) Kitt of North Bend, NE, and Lonnie (Patti) Kitt of Schuyler, NE, two daughters Kim (Roger) Svatora of Schuyler, NE and Julia (Dave) Karp of McCook, NE.; grandchildren: Traci (Jason) Chatten, Neil Dustin Kitt, Cody (Sylvia) Kitt, Casey (John) Bailey, Carrie (Bryan) Kearney, Jared Chromy, Shyann Svatora, Kindra (Creighton) Shields, Anna Karp, Jaden Karp; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; sister Joan Kitt, step-sisters Loraine Einsphar and Elaine Conrod.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Aaron and Fae Thompson, husband Neil Kitt, sisters and brothers; Sunshine Pogge, Conrad Thompson, June Skiles, Ronald Thompson, Ramona Cackler and sons-in-law Alan Chromy.
