Orletha A. Zeilinger, 89, of Bellwood died Tuesday, May 27 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Orletha was born on July 29, 1924 at Burlington, Colorado to Spencer and Minnie(Kruse)Dorothy. Her parents moved back to Nebraska when she was 6 years old and she attended David City Public Schools where she graduated from David City High School in 1942. She worked at JC Penny in David City and Omaha as a window trimmer. On June 9, 1946, Orletha and Gene Zelinger were married at The First Christian Church in David City. She then worked as a farm wife and raising their three children. In 1973, she purchased The Fabric Shop in David City, which she ran until she retired in 2005.
Orletha is survived by her husband, Gene, children: Connie(Steve)Bell of Elkhorn, Dale(Christie)Zeilinger of Bellevue, and Ray(Beth)Zeilinger of Gretna. 9 Grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Spencer Dorothy Jr.
