Olivia Baumert

Olivia was born June 3, 1913 in Cuming County northwest of Snyder to Frank and Theresa (Kluthe) Heimann and she received her education at St. Boniface Catholic School at Monterey. On January 25, 1939 she and Leo William Baumert were joined in marriage at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Monterey. They farmed until 1984 when they moved to Howells. Olivia was a member of the Christian Mother's, American Legion Auxiliary, the Jolly Stitches Extension Club and several card clubs. She loved to quilt, play cards, garden, cook and bake. Olivia died February 15th, at the age of 92, at the Golden Living Center in Clarkson where she had been a resident since 2009. Olivia is survived by their five children; Duane (Dorothy) Baumert of Vonore, TN, Ken (Molly) Baumert of Emmaus, PA, Francis (Sally) Baumert of Howells, Karen (Brock) Stoltenberg of Bassett and Marilyn (Bob) LaPorta of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo (2/4/2009); three brothers, Raymond, Gilbert and Francis Heimann; three sisters, Dorothy Wiese, Helen Kassmeier and Delores Meiergard. Family suggest memorials to the Howells Community Catholic Schools or Family Choice. The funeral lunch will be served a the American Legin Club.
