Nathelle Petersen

Nathelle J. Wirt, 74, of Schuyler, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 in David City. Nathelle was born September 28, 1936 to Ross and Helen (Watsen) Wirt. She married Larry Petersen January 22, 1955 in Breckenridge, MN. While Larry was employed as a route driver for Schwan’s they lived in Minnesota, Texas and Randolph, NE before moving to Schuyler in 1976. Nathelle loved being with her family, working in her yard, watching birds and reading. Nathelle is survived by her daughter, Darcy (Mrs. Fred) Kruger of West Point, NE; sons, Thomas Petersen of Schuyler and Lance (Michelle) Petersen, of Schuyler; three grandchildren, Kyle, Mickaela and Baily; great grandson, David; sister, Marjorie (John) Bryan of Glencoe, MN; brothers, Don Wirt of Lake Mills, IA, Daryl (Donna) Wirt of St. Paul, MN, Richard (Mary) Wirt of Owatonna, MN, Curt (Lil) Wirt of Lohrville, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry (September 5, 2008) and son Bryon (February 3, 2004). Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
