Naomi Cleone Divis, 79, of Columbus, formerly of Schuyler, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Schuyler. Funeral services will be Monday, March 17th at 10:00 A.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Schuyler with Rev. Bill Mattfeld officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday March 16th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel. Visitation will resume Monday morning at the church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Burial will be at Schuyler Cemetery.
Naomi was born July 3, 1934 in Arapahoe, NE to Albert and Helene (Suedmeyer) Golter. She graduated from Arapahoe High School and later from Concordia College in Seward. On June 3, 1956, Naomi married Lloyd Divis at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe. They moved to Richland in 1958. Naomi was a teacher. She enjoyed sewing, doing upholstery work, crafts, and teaching her students.
Naomi is survived by two sons: Larry Divis and his fiancé Denise Tschantre, of Columbus, and Steve Divis of Richland; grandson Jason (Carina) Divis of Columbus; granddaughter Adrian (Gary) Chlopek of Fullerton; great grandsons Tyler, Austin, Trey and Brody; great granddaughter Katelyn; and brother LaVon (OraMae) Golter of Hendersonville, TN.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd in 2006.
