Milo A. Jedlicka, 89, of Schuyler was born February 11, 1924 in Colfax County to Anton J. and Mary (Wachal) Jedlicka. He attended District 13 grade school and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1943. He volunteer drafted into the navy in March of 1945. Milo served in the Pacific Theater on several supply ships landing in Tokyo Bay, Japan. He served in China, then transferred to Korea where he drove a supply truck. Milo was discharged in August 19146. Following his military service, Milo farmed with his father. On September 12, 1950, Milo married Donnette Tuma at Presentation Church - Marietta - Bellwood. The couple lived on the farm of his parents for 50 years, retiring to Schuyler in 2000. He loved farming, his animals, especially his dog Sandy, planting trees, and especially his polka music. While on the farm he served as secretary for Hill Telephone company. Milo was a member of Catholic Workman - Lodge 40 Wilson and the American Legion.
Milo is survived by his wife Donnette, sons Milo J., Daniel, Melvin (Kris), and daughters JoAnn (Jim) Ogier and Shirley (Tim) Vrana. Grandchildren: Andrew Jedlicka, Shawn Vrana, Megan (fiancee' Jordan Jisa) Vrana, step grandchildren Ellery Zepeda, A.J. Zepeda, step great-grandchildren Alexis Zepeda and Josie Brichacek. In addition he is survived by a sister Marie Kracl of O'Neill, nieces and nephews.
Milo was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Norman Kracl and nephew Steve Kracl.
Burial will be in Schuyler Cemetery with Military Honors performed by McLeod Post #47 of the American Legion and Hespen-Mitchell Post 4836 of the V.F.W.
