Mildred was born December 6, 1919 in Colfax County and was the last of ten children born to Frank and Antonia (Maly) Jedlicka. She received her education at District 26 in Colfax County. On December 28, 1944 she married John Dvorak at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Wilson in Colfax County and they farmed in that area until moving to Schuyler in 1980. Mildred was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church Altar Society, Catholic Workman Branch 40, Heun Choir and sang in the Happy Czechs Polka group. She enjoyed her grandchildren, vegetable and flower gardening and playing Bingo and cards. She was known for her great kolaches and horn rolls. Mildred died June 12, 2012 at Lancaster Manor in Lincoln where she had lived since 2004. Mildred is survived by daughter Theresa (Bob) Flynn of Lincoln; son, Jon (Vickie) Dvorak of Clarkson; grandson, Brock Dvorak. She is preceded in death by her husband, John (February 17, 1992); granddaughter, Robin Flynn; five brothers, Frank, Adolph, Edward, Lumir and Emil; four sisters, Matilda Urban, Albie Wachal, Mary Svehla and Agnes Hamsa. Family suggest memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Schuyler Cemetery. Funeral lunch will bne served at Heun immediately following the mass and then burial will be in the Schuyler Cemetery.
