Mildred Scanlon

Mildred was born July 27, 1918 in rural Howells, Nebraska to James R. and Emma (Beran) Kucera. She attended grade school in rural Colfax County. On November 24, 1953, Mildred married Edward Scanlon at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Tabor (rural Howells). She was a member of St. Augustines Catholic Church and the Little Flower Altar Society. Mildred loved cooking, baking Kolaches, collecting recipes and following her grandsons' activities. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Carol (Russ) Reha of Schuyler, grandsons: Chris (Katrina) Reha of Lincoln, Curt (Lacey) Reha of Lincoln, Cole (Channing) Reha of Omaha and Craig Reha of Omaha; great grandsons: Kyler and Cohen Reha of Lincoln; sister-in-law Rita Kaup of West Point; brother-in-law James Scanlon of Schuyler; niece Maureen Mausbach of Columbus; and nephew Kevin (Rhonda) Kaup and their son Garret. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed in 2003 and brother James in 2011. Memorials are suggested "In Care of the Family".
