Michael A. Hiller, 62, of Leavenworth, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 7 in St. Peter Catholic Church, Bellwood. Fr. Jay Buhman, Officiating Burial in Sts. Peter & Mary Cemetery, Bellwood.
Viewing will be Sunday February 6th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Chermok Funeral Home, David City and after 6:00 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, Bellwood, followed by a 7:00 pm Rosary. Additional viewing will be one hour before services at the church on Monday.
Michael was born on July 24, 1949 to Anthony and Elizabeth (Michael) Hiller in David City. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1968. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Navy where he served his country for 21 years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking woodworking and his family.
Michael is survived by his special friend Cathy Hebden, Belleville, IL; brother Chuck (Diane) Hiller of Lincoln, NE; sisters: Connie (Phil) Koerin of Leavenworth, KS, Kate (Bill) Shoemaker of Yankton, SD, Jeanne (Ken) Blaalid of Mitchell, SD, Beth (Ken) Svoboda of St. Paul, NE, Peg Hiller and special friend John Hollmann of Mitchell, SD, Lori (Ron) Meusch of Bellwood, NE, Janet (Ben) Delgado of Eudora, KS; many nieces, nephews and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece.
