Mary Ladwig

Mary was born July 19, 1921 in Colfax County to Frank and Mary (Abraham) Dworak. She attended rural school and Clarkson High School. Mary and Eldin Ladwig were married January 26, 1943 in Clarkson and they made their home in Schuyler. Mary worked as a nurses' aid at the Schuyler Memorial Hospital for 39 years. She enjoyed embrodering, crocheting and spending time with her family. Mary died August 30th, at the age of 89, at the Golden LivingCenter in Schuyler where she had been a resident since June of 2007. Mary is survived by six children; Raymond (Linda), Larry "Dusty" (Ann), Mary Ann Shonka and Sharon Vanicek all of Schuyler, Dwaine (Michele) of Shelby and Carolyn Rees of Littleton, CO; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ann Ladwig of Schuyler; three sisters, Helen Hawkins of Clarkson, Ann Longacre of Fremont and Lillian Saalfeld of Schuyler. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldin (Dec. 4, 1988); son, LaVern "Butch" Sept. 11, 2002; grandson, John Ladwig (Sept. 18, 2002). Funeral lunch will be served at the St. Mary's Social Center.
