Mary M. Jones, age 97 of David City, died Sunday March 25, 2012 at the Butler County Health Care Center.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 30, 2012, at 10:00am in St.Mary's Church, David City with Fr.Kenneth Wehrs officating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Wake Service/PCCW Rosary will be Thursday, 7:00pm in St. Mary's Chruch.
Viewing will be Thursday, 3-5pm at Chermok Funeral Home, David City and after 6pm at the church; additional viewing will be Friday, from 9-10am at church.

Mary M. (Kelly) Jones was born in Surprise, NE on December 23, 1914 to Hugh and Julia(Ficke)Kelly. She attended District 47 country school near Ulysses, graduated from Ulysses High School and went on to Midland Lutheran College in Fremont for normal training. She married Lester Jones on May 17, 1939 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ulysses, NE and four children were born to this union.
Mary taught at District 14 country school in Seward County, District 41 country school in Butler County and Hilltop Country School. Other work included Dale Electronics and David City Bank. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, the PCCW, Seminarian Club, St. Joseph’s Villa Quilters, Superintendent of Needlework Department at County Fair, and Treasurer of West Olive School District.
Mary enjoyed quilting, baking, praying the rosary, crossword puzzles, sudoko, facebook, email, and reading, but her most treasured time was spending quality time with her family.
Survivors: Daughter: Carol (Patrick) Meysenburg of David City, Son: George Jones of Omaha, Grandchildren: Chad(Cherie) Meysenburg of David City, Andrea (Doug Jr.) Russell of Fullerton, Lee (Andrea) Meysenburg of David City, Alyssa (Samuel) Prunty of Bellevue and Ariana Meysenburg of David City Great-Grandchildren: Kristin, Mariah, Cassidy, Heidi, Joseph Meysenburg, Claire, Conner, and baby girl (April 2012) Russell, Carter, Maxton, and Ellie Mae Meysenburg, Roxie and Irelyn Prunty. Special Family: Colin, Janet, Lydia Wilke and grandson Stuart Wilke of Kearney
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester in 1990, sons William and Russell, sister: Lucille Kelly, brothers: Leo Kelly, John Kelly, James Kelly, and Daughter-in-law: Margaret (Peg) Jones.
