Mary T. Hunt, 94, of David City, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Friday in St. Mary's Church, David City with Msgr. Adrian Herbek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-5pm at Chermok Funeral Home and after 6pm at the church followed by PCCW Rosary at 7PM also at the church.
Mary was born on November 21, 1913 on the farm near Loma to Joseph and Mary(Hraban)Kadavy. She married Fred Hunt on Sept. 20, 1932 at Omaha and they lived in the Butler County area all of their lives. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the PCCW. She enjoyed her family, her farm and her church. She embroidered and was famous for patching clothes, especially jeans. She enjoyed her Czech Music and being outdoors on her farm.
Survivors include her three daughters; Darlene Diekmann of Tobias, NE: Betty(Bill)Kozisek of David City; Dorothy(Terry)Vavrina of Abie; 4 Sisters; Della Policky of Seward; Agnes Johnson of Grand Island; Lucille Trousil of Valparaiso, and Evelyn Shonka of Colorado Springs, CO; 14 Grandchildren; 30 Great-grandchildren; 10 Great-great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Dec. 24, 1994; one son: Donald; one grandson: Billy Kozisek; 5 brothers: Emil, Joe, Frank, Jim, and Fred Kadavy; 4 sisters: one infant sister; Rose Pekarek; Lillian Havlena; and Tillie Kadavy.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Endowment Fund; Aquinas Endowment Fund or Masses.
