Mary Chloupek, 85, of Rising City, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Services are 2:00 pm Monday, December 10th at the United Methodist Church in Rising City. Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm Sunday at Chermok Funeral Home in David City.
Mary was born February 9, 1922 to John and Adah (Pickrel) Kilzer in Seward, Nebraska. She graduated from Seward High School in 1940 and married Ernest Chloupek on June 1, 1940 in Papillion, NE.
Mary and Ernest moved to Rising City in 1952. Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rising City, the Methodist Women's Society, Over 60's, Keenagers, and Friendship Club of Rising City.
Mary is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law: Ralph and Rosalee of Lincoln; Jim and Pat of Plano, TX; Jack and Karen of Lincoln; Louie and Sandy of Grandview, TN; Frank and Susan of Wahoo; and Joe and Collene of Lincoln; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest in 2003, sisters: Vera Winter and Nellie Odell, brother Billy Kilzer, grandchildren: Theresa Chloupek and David Chloupek and great grandson Ben Chloupek.
Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in Rising City or the Rising City Volunteer Fire Department.
