Mary H. Andel, 89, widow of William, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at St. Joseph's Villa, David City.

Mary H. Andel was born on August 6, 1925 at Bruno, Nebraska to Alois and Mary(Fiala)Rerucha. She attended school at District 61, Dwight Assumption and graduated from Brainard High School in 1944. She married William A. Andel on September 28, 1950 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Bruno. Six children were born to this union. They lived on a farm near Appleton until moving to David City in 1993.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking sewing, raising poultry and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the PCCW and First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association(Catholic Workman).
Mary is survived by her sons: John (Joanne) Andel of Bruno, Eugene (Teresa )Andel, Jerome(Patricia) Andel, both of David City, Kenneth Andel of Virginia Beach, Va, and Willis Andel of Geneseo, Illinois; one brother: Alois Rerucha; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: William in 2006; daughter: Mary Lou in 1973; and two infant brothers.
