Mark was born April 26, 1953 in Schuyler to Evan E. and Dorothy (Pohl) Drozda. He graduated from Schuyler High School in 1972 and later received an Associate Degree in Horticulture from the University of Nebraska at Curtis. He lived in Norfolk for a short time. Most recently he had been living in Columbus at Boulevard Place, a group home, and attending Rainbow Center during the day. He continued to be very knowledgeable about plants and enjoyed talking about them. He loved taking care of his two fish tanks at Boulevard Place. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus where he felt very welcomed by his fellow parishioners. He loved attending bible studies and singing in the choir. He was always searching out ways to strengthen his faith and his love for God. Mark is survived by three brothers and sisters-in law: Joe (Mary Jo) of Bellwood, Michael of Omaha, Dan (Patty) of Lincoln, two sisters and brothers-in-law: Julie (John) List of Yankton, SD, Ann (Tom) Busch of Sabetha, KS and 21 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and special friend Lois Bierman. The family suggests memorials to the Rainbow Center or Peace Lutheran Church.
