Marion "Mike" Augustyn

Marion "Mike" Augustyn, 84, of Omaha, passed away on September 10, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.

Marion was born February 3, 1932 to Joseph and Gertrude(Tomasiewicz) Augustyn in Loup City, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army and graduated from Kearney State College with his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Marion was united in marriage to Mary Fochtman on June 6, 1957 at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Cozad. 11 children were born to this union.

While he was at Kearney State College he played football, which led to his love of watching football. He enjoyed gardening, farming in Pasadena, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, playing cards, pool, holidays, barbecue's, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife: Mary; children: David (Grace) Augustyn, of Pasadena, CA, Paul (Denise) Augustyn, of Octavia, NE, Jane (Mike) Welch, of San Diego, CA, Greg (Ana) Augustyn, of Fallbrook, CA, Mark Augustyn, of Sandy, UT, Bill (Elise) Augustyn, of Glendora, CA, Ann (Richard) Clark, of La Verne, CA, Stephen (Tami) Augustyn, of Oceanside, CA, Dan (Missy) Augustyn, of San Gabriel, CA, Cindy (Gary) Moore, of San Dimas, CA, and Benjamin Augustyn, of Miami, FL; siblings: Loren Augustyn, Carolyn Fishburn, Sr. Leona Augustyn, Philip Augustyn, and Maxine Morris; 35 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Joseph Augustyn Jr.
