Marilyn Augustine, 80, of Texas, formerly of Shelby, passed away March 27, 2015 at St. Joseph's Villa, in David City.

Marliyn was born November 29, 1934 to Charles and Rosella (Rinke) Augustin, in Osceola, NE. She received an Associate's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She moved to Texas and worked as a Histotechnologist doing lab work at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Marilyn loved the outdoors, traveling, and reading. She belonged to a Retirement Association and a Histotech Group.

She is survived by her sister: Carolyn (Bud) Hiatt; nieces & nephews: Charlene Augustin, Charles Augustin, Mike Hiatt, Mark Hiatt, Michelle Bell, Julie Shannon, and Laurie Jarecki; and best friend: Mary Ann Payne.

Marilynn is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Charles J. Augustin; and grandparents: Paul & Martha Rinke, Charles & Paulina Augustin.

Lunch will be served at the Legion Hall following the burial.
