Margaret R. Novak, 71, of Rising City, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at St.Joseph's Villa in David City. Funeral Services will Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard with Fr. John Rooney officiating. Burial will be in the New Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 1-5pm at the Chermok Funeral Home in David City and begin again after 6:30pm at the church in Brainard. Wake and Rosary service will be at 7:30pm at the church. Memorials are requested in care of the family. Margaret R Novak is survived by: her husband Gene; her children: Catherine M.(Tom)Pohl of Bruno, Gary T.(LaRee)Novak of Rising City; Tony E.(Kendra)Novak of Rising City; Mary Sutton of Rising City. One Brother: Willis(Maxine)Svoboda of Dwight; one sister: Leona Prochaska of David City. 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son David E. Novak; one brother: Lad Svoboda; one sister: Dorothy Hahn. Margaret was born on Dec. 14, 1934 to Theodore and Lillian(Sypal)Svoboda at David City. She graduated from Assumption High School in Dwight. She married Gene Novak on April 17, 1956 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard. She worked as a Nurses aid at St. Joseph Villa and was an excellent seamstress. She was also a member of the Gray Ladies Hospital Volunteer Group. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, dancing, music, and sewing.
