Marcella Plasek

Marcella M. Plasek, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at her daughter's home in Laurel, NE. Services are Tuesday, February 20th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in David City. Visitation will be from 3-5 pm Monday Feb. 19th at Chermok Funeral Home in David City and after 6 pm at the Church. A Rosary will be held at St. Mary's Church at 7 pm. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in David City. Marcella was born October 27, 1924 in Bruno. She attended country school in Bruno and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1942. She married Anton J. Plasek, Jr. at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard on October 22, 1947. Survivors include a daughter: Mari Beth (Sonny) Bassette, Jr. of Laurel, sisters: Margie Svoboda of Bruno, NE and Jane Marie McElravy of David City, NE, grandchildren: David and Jamie Benesch Bock of Columbus, Craig Bock of El Reno, OK, Anjelique Bock of Omaha, NE, and Cody and Jessica Bock of Fremont, NE; Great Grandchildren: Rachael Harris, Tyler Bock, Madelyn Bock and Landon Bock. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Dennis Rech, sister-in-law: Geraldine (Timms) Rech Prochaska and brothers-in-law: Laddie Svoboda and Harold McElravy.
