Marcella "Marcie" Janda

Visitation for Marcella “Marcie” Janda, age 92 of Schuyler, will be held on Thursday, September 28th, from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel followed by grave side services at 4 PM at the Clarkson National Cemetery in Clarkson.

Marcie was born October 4, 1924 in Clarkson to John F. and Eva (Gaspar) Kratochvil. She graduated from Clarkson High School in 1942 and married Joe “Puddy” Janda on November 19, 1942 in Schuyler.

Marcie enjoyed spending time with her family, taking coffee breaks with her friends, caring for her yard, music and baking. Marcie died September 22, 2017 at Schuyler Care and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident since January of 2016.

Marcella is survived by her daughter, Judy Blaker of Schuyler; granddaughter, Brenda Cannon of Lincoln; great granddaughter, Lauren Cannon of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Helen Musil of San Diego, CA’ sister-in-law, Alice Kratochvil of Santa Margarita, CA; nieces and ne[hews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe (10/26/1996); son-in-law, Roger Blaker; great granddaughter, Carly Jo Cannon; brothers, Adolf and Stanley Kratochvil; nephew, David Kratochvil.
