Marcella M. Frank

Marcella Marie Frank, 86, of David City, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at David Place.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 26 at 10 a.m. at Chermok Funeral Home in David City. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Brainard. Funeral lunch to follow at the Klein Center in Brainard. Chermok Funeral Home is handling arrangements for Marcella’s family.

In Lieu of Plants and Flowers, memorials may be directed towards family wishes for a later designation.

Marcella Marie Frank was born on August 11, 1937, in Prague, Nebraska to Marie (Kucera) and Joseph Frank. In 1955, Marcella graduated from Brainard High School. After graduation, Marcella spent most of lifetime as a caregiver for her Mom and Dad, as well as her lifelong friend, Margaret Hladky. She also worked at David Place in the kitchen for several years.

Marcella had a love for cats and dogs. She loved the summertime as well as planting flowers but had a rather brown thumb! She also enjoyed canning fruit, meat, and vegetables, eating Czech food, and making pies. She was creative, making several projects by crocheting and sewing. Marcella loved sudoku puzzles, visiting with family and friends, and reading, especially cookbooks.

Marcella is survived by several distant cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, best friend and cousin, Margaret A. Hladky in 2020, and many cousins and friends.
