Ludmila Pekarek

Ludmila H. Pekarek was born February 6, 1915, in Dodge to Vaclav and Mary (Havelka) Melena. She graduated from Howells High School. On October 27, 1937, Ludmilla married Lambert F. (Sam) Pekarek in Dodge. They farmed south of Howells and in 1960 opened Pekarek Produce whee Ludmila was the bookkeeper. Ludmila was a homemaker, a member of St. John of Nepomucene Catholic Church, and the Altar Society. She loved to cook and garden and enjoyed being a member of the Dizzy Dozen Social Club and other community organizations. Ludmila is survived by a son, Paul (Val) Pekarek of Howells, daughter, Marcheta (Dean) Molacek of Valencia, California, grandchildren: Tom and Cindy Molacek, John and Erica Molacek, Keith Molacek, Scott and Judy Jerzek, Brian Pekarek, Michael and Nicole Pekarek, Pamela and Brad Toelle and Rebecca Holman; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lambert, 3 infant children: Gerald, James and Mary Ann, daughter-in-law Janet (Tomka) Pekarek, sisters Ann Reznicek, Rose Hormel and Mary Zak and brothers James and Frank Molena.
