Lucille Rerucha, 88, of David City died Friday, January 6, 2017, at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.

Lucille was born on March 8, 1928 at David City, Nebraska to Edward and Olive (Timms) Rezac. She graduated from David City High School in 1945. On October 12, 1957, Lucille married Anton L. Rerucha at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. Two children were born to this union.
Lucille was a lifetime resident of Butler County. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, a past officer of Catholic Daughters, and past president of St. Mary's PCCW. Her faith was very important to her. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and the rosary. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lucille was also a member of the Seminarian Club, past DCCW secretary, did volunteer work at St. Mary's School and was also a caregiver to many of her elderly relatives including her parents. She enjoyed flowers, cooking, sewing and was a collector of Marian statues, salt and pepper shakers and antiques. She took pride in sending cards on birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was so proud of her chilldren and her granddaughter and all their accomplishments.
Lucille is survived by her son, Jim (Anna) Rerucha of Bruno, daughter, Sr. Jeanette Rerucha, M.S. of Waverly. One Granddaughter, Rebeca Rerucha, Brother-in-law, Albin Rerucha of Bruno, Sisters-in-law, MaryLou Rerucha and Nadine Rerucha, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers-in-law, Edward, Richard, Ben and Joe Rerucha, and sister-in-law, MaryLou Rerucha.
