Lucille C. (Svoboda) Danaher Brauckmuller, 96, of Lincoln, NE, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025 at the Grace Space in Lincoln. She was born on November 16, 1928, in Brainard, NE, to Raymond and Antonia Svoboda. Lucille married Charles Danaher on June 6th, 1949. Together, they had 9 wonderful children. Charles died in May of 1980. On July 18th, 1986, Lucille married Earl Brauckmuller. Lucille was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lucille was known for her kind and gentle spirit. She always wore a smile and spent her life taking care of others. She was a beloved member of the community, and her family was her greatest joy. Lucille enjoyed polka dancing and getting her hair done, always looking her best for those she loved.
Lucille was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Ashland, where she found strength and comfort throughout her life. She will be remembered not only for her unwavering faith but also for her deep devotion to her family, always putting others first. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Patrick (Marsha) Danaher of Council Bluffs, Robert Danaher of Lincoln, Tom Danaher of Lincoln, Bill Danaher of Lincoln, Mary (Don) Yeates of Lincoln, Jim Danaher of Lincoln, and Diane Sedlak of Lincoln; stepchildren, Thomas Brauckmuller of Greenwood and Gary Brauckmuller of Ashland; grandchildren, Kelly Danaher, Katie (Lance) Lichty, Paula (Wayne) Plunkett, John “JT” (Makayla) Danaher, Anthony “AJ” (Christina) Yeates, Joshua (Libby) Yeates, Alyssa (Cory) Hachiya, Megan Knebel, Michael Danaher, Travis (McKenna) Sedlak, and McKenzie Sedlak; step-grandchildren, Sean (Tanya) Brauckmuller and Scott Brauckmuller), Shannon (Jeff) Hartung, and Kristin Ceballo; 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles Danaher; her second husband, Earl Brauckmuller; five brothers and one sister; her sons Kevin and Merle Danaher; stepdaughter Julie Liewer; and her great-granddaughter Lakelyn Danaher.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, February 10, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in David City, NE. Visitation will be Monday, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. with a rosary recited at 10 a.m. All events will take place at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery with lunch following at the Butler County Event Center. Moravec Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements for Lucille’s family.
