October 18, 1917 — April 15, 2008

Lucille A. Brannen, 90, of David City, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 1:00PM in St. Mary's Church, David City with Fr. Paul Frank officiating. A Catholic Daughters Rosary will be held at 4PM in St. Mary's Church. A second rosary will be led by the PCCW on Friday, April 18 at 7PM at St. Mary's Church. Family will greet friends immediately following the rosary at St. Mary's school hall with refreshments being served. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Lucille requested no viewing or visitation.

Lucille was born on October 18, 1917 to Walter and Victoria(Mikolayck)Wilson near St. Paul, NE. She graduated from Farwell High School. She married Clair Brannen on June 24, 1941 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, NE. Lucille lived in St. Paul, Gothenburg, Grand Island, and Fairbury until moving to David City in 1952. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, PCCW. Catholic Daughters for over 50 yrs, and the David City Freedom Ringers. She was very active in church, school and community volunteer work. She also worked as a houseparent and workshop attendent at Region V Services.
Survivors include her sons: Tony and Jean Brannen of Plainfield, IL: Patrick and Lynn Brannen of Omaha, NE; Daughters: Joyce and Dean Stalians of Sun City West, AZ; Clarice and Mike Lake of San Diego, CA; Sandra and Dick Mahoney of Lincoln, NE: Rita and Chuck Lenning of Goldfield, IA; Kay and Ken Kadavy of David City, NE; Mary and Jim Wehenkel of Auburn, NE; and Renee and Rollie Nickolite of Schuyler, NE: She has one brother: Sylvester "Bud" Wilson of Elba, NE; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clair in 2004; one granddaughter: Jordan Nickolite; two brothers: Rufen and Vern Wilson and one sister: Burnida Wilson.
