Lucille Aldrich, 99, of David City died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at david place in David City.

Lucille Aldrich was born on June 11, 1916 to George and Rena(Alma)Zeilinger on the farm near David City. She attended school in David City and graduated from David City High School in 1934. She married Leo L. Aldrich on April 10, 1948 at the North Bend United Methodist Church. Three sons were born to this union. Lucille was a homemaker and farm wife who loved to sew, cook , can, bake, play cards, and go ballroom dancing. She enjoyed attending sporting events and spending time with her family. She loved to work in her flower and vegetable gardens.
Lucille was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, the Ulysses Extension Club, the Church Society and St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons: Larry(Carol)Aldrich of Dwight, Marvin(Peg)Aldrich of Schuyler and Melvin(Sharon)Aldrich of Seward. Brother: Gene Zeilinger of Bellwood, half-brother:Keith(Peggy)Zeilinger of Hawaii, half-sister:Susan(Rex)Lynd of Ft. Collins, CO and sisters-in-law: Margaret and Opal Zeilinger both of David City. 7 Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with twin great-grandchilds due next month.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo in 2008 and three brothers: Don, Earl and Vern Zeilinger.
