Lorraine Sima

February 5, 1925 — October 28, 2006

Lorraine Sima, 81, of David City, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City with Msgr. Adrian Herbek officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, October 30, 2006 from 2 until 7pm at the funeral home. There will be a 7PM wake service followed by a PCCW rosary also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the David City Fire Department and Rescue Squad. There will be a luncheon after the committal at the Knights of Columbus Hall in David City. Lorraine Sima is survived by her brother: Quentin Vraspir of David City; her sister: Darlene(Richard) Speth of Omaha; Four nieces and nephews: Douglas(Teri)Speth, Roger(Char)Speth; Karen(Todd)Horton and Steve(Shae)Speth. She is also survived by her great-nieces and nephews: Anthony, Caitlyn, Trejan Speth and Chelsey and Collin Horton. Lorraine was born on February 5, 1925 on the farm near Bruno, Nebraska, the daughter of Adolph and Emma(Otoupal)Vraspir. She attended David City High School and graduated in 1943. She was a clerk in the County Treasurer's office for 37 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and was big Husker football fan. She also loved her dog, Holly and especially loved to spend time and spoil her nieces and nephews.
