Lillian Pekarek, 86, of David City, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 14, 2010, 10:00am in St. Mary's Church with Fr. Bernard Kimminau officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 4-7pm followed by a 7pm parish rosary all at Chermok Funeral Home, David City. Additional viewing will be Wednesday, from 9-10am at the church.
Memorials may be given In care of the family.
Lillian Pekarek was born on December 24, 1923 on the farm near Dwight to George and Celestina(Vala)Bartek. She married Frank F. Pekarek on November25, 1945 at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight.
She retired from Western Electric in Omaha after many years of working as a shift foreman.
Frank and Lillian lived in the Valparaiso and Wahoo areas before moving to David City in 1988. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in David City.
Survivors include her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank in 2009; six brothers: Jerry, Frank, Ed, Anton, Joseph, and George Bartek and three sisters: Antonette Bartek, Marie C. Kobza and Julia Policky.
