Lillian A. Palik, 81, of David City, died Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.

Lillian was born on July 17, 1937 in Prague, Nebraska to Vaclav and Tillie (Koranda) Havlovic. She attended Prague District 19 rural school and later went on to earn her GED from David City High School.
Lillian was united in marriage to Louis G. Palik on August 4, 1959 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, Plasi. She was a homemaker and while raising her three children, she helped out in the Palik Saw & Shoe Repair shop that they owned. She later went to work at St. Joseph's Villa and then to the Butler County Hospital. In 2004, the hospital awarded her the Caring Kind Award for her many years of dedicated service and care. She attended St. Mary's Church and was a member of the PCCW and a past member of Catholic Daughters.
Lillian is survived by her children: Eugene "Gene" Palik of O'Neill, Roxanne "Roxie" (Mitch) Medlar of Columbus, and Mark (Kris) Palik of David City. 6 Grandchildren: Valerie (Dave) Divis, Lacey Palik, James Palik, Michael (Kaylee) Medlar, Andy and Alex Palik. 5 Great-grandchildren: Jesse, Beau and Liliana Divis, Hazzel Medlar and Dominic Palik.
5 Sisters: Helen Ourada of Prague, Emily Pacula of Weston, Caroline (Dean) Cudaback of Schuyler, Lucille Strizek of Valparaiso, and Bernie (Jim) Jelinek of Atkinson, one brother: Tom Havlovic of Omaha. Sisters-in-law; Janet Havlovic of Columbus and Mary Havlovic of David City. Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis in 2002, special friend, George Mastera, Sisters: Josephine Polacek, Frances Woita and Marcy Havlovic, brother: Bill Havlovic and brothers-in-law; Jerry Polacek, Leonard Ourada, Leonard Woita, Ed Pacula and Eldon Strizek.
